The chuppah square

We've been working on a quilt square for Alec's stepbrother's chuppah, the tent under which the ceremony takes place in a Jewish wedding. It's been about a 2 week process. Lauren and I painted the background (with some touch-up by Alec). Alec designed and cut out the felt figures. Lauren chose the material and selected for each figure. I stitched the figures and fabrics to the square, and embroidered the hair. The result is really amazing.

I love Lauren's dress. Lindsay seems to have made some real leaps in growth!
