This year, we broke with tradition and put up our tree the day after Thanksgiving. Obviously, we have an artificial tree. It was purchased in Green Bay because we lived in a 2nd floor apartment and it was a fire hazard to have a real tree.
Alec got new LED lights this year. They make him happy.
Lauren and I made gingerbread cookies and hung them, along with some small glass ornaments and candy canes. We plan to string some popcorn also, and we have a few cookies to replace because, well, those are yummy.

You've solved my problem! I've been fretting over where to put our tree because our living room is so small and playroom is so cold. While I thought of switching living & dining rooms for the season (the last owners had them reversed like that), it never occurred to me to just put the tree in the dining room! Thanks!
Almost all of Lauren's toys are in the corner we'd put the tree the past 2 years. We decided it would be just as festive to have the tree in the dining room. After all, we spend just as much time around the table as we spend sitting in the living room.
Great tree, Epiphany. Santa left you an early present over on Mimi's site.
Yey! Time to put the trees up!!!
I'm getting a bit excited as I'm off xmas shopping in about 2 mins.
It looks beautiful! Please pass this on to your daughter too!
